Sojourner began in 2001 in Oz Hall. This gathering was called the "Saturday Night Thing." The group would get together once a month in a coffee house type atmosphere to play modern Christian praise music. A 10 minute message was included along with an occasional skit. Since those days in Oz Hall, Sojourner has touched both congregation and community alike with their passion to worship God through praise, prayer and music.
Sojourner has performed in several community gatherings including the Apple Festival in East Brady, Pa. Sojourner has also played for crowds at Alameda Park, as well as the island playground, which benefited the youth of the island area of downtown Butler. Sojourner has also performed at funeral services at the request of the family to provide uplifting comfort to family and friends.
From the Sojourner Praise Band to all who visit our site, we encourage you to come and expierence the contemporary worship service with us here at Christ Communtity United Methodist Church.
