Christ Community U.M.C. began holding the contemporary worship services during the summer of 2003. The contemporary worship service blends modern worship music from our praise band Sojourner, with multi-media presentations, scripture readings, fellowship, communion and prayer into an uplifting hour of praise music and worship.

Sojourner opens the worship service with praise music followed by announcements to the congragation. The service continues with praise songs. The lyrics for all praise songs are displayed on a projection screen so that all the congragation can sing along. Prayer requests from the congregation and the community are lifted up during the prayer time. For our serman or message we may have our pastor providing the serman. A guest speaker may also come in to address the congragation. Multimedia presentation are also used to cover special topics. Communion is offered the first sunday of every month. Communion is open to all who attend.
